The logos I designed for Arbeiderpartiet, Glitterbird and Trailerpark Records are all included in the third book on logos released by Die Gestalten Verlag.

Tres Logos

About the book: Logo design is one of the most crucial and challenging tasks in graphic design. Seemingly simple, The Logo becomes the indispensable face of companies and conveys the identity and philosophy of brands.

Los Logos and Dos Logos documented this unceasing evolution. Expanding on the previous editions, Tres Logos demonstrates how influences from illustration and street art have become increasingly evident in logo design inspiring ornamental patterns with logos replacing the abstract tag. Additionally, companies are becoming more daring and exploiting their logos to identify their brand with a certain style and appeal.

Fully indexed and structured thematically, the book draws connections between the applications and the field for which it was intended. Like its predecessors, Tres Logos explores the exceptional visual language and stylistic approaches to logo creation by designers around the globe, exhibiting thousands of examples and simultaneously providing information about the "makers" personal approach.

Tres Logos is a state of the art visual encyclopedia on the current state and evolution of Logo Design.

Sonic answers these questions with 320 striking pages of today's best-designed record covers and concert posters. CD Art - The Cutting Edge of Packaging Design

The sleeve I did for Jazzkammer/Merzbow "Live at Molde International Jazzfestival" is featured in this book on CD sleeves by Charlotte Rivers.

CD Art - The Cutting Edge of Packaging Design

From the book: "As it says on the cover, this album was recorded live when artists Merzbow and Jazzkammer played at the Molde International Jazz Festival. However, the music of Merzbow and Jazzkammer is not - as you might think from the style of the cover - jazz; but rather experimental electronic music. Oslo-based designer Rune Mortensen used the circumstances in which this recording was made as a basis for his design, applying a style more commonly assosiated with another musical genre to the cover. The use of subtle colors, simple layout, and large DIN typeface is unmistakably based on a simple typographic design that is now synonymous with jazz albums; the uncluttered layout of which also reflects the minimalist nature of the music inside."
